Website Terms and Conditions · Version 2026-10-22

Clear terms. No surprises.

These terms explain how Spice of Life Media website orders, optional extras and monthly plans work for orders accepted from 22 October 2026. They set the scope, timing, price, hosting, cancellation and handover before you pay. Earlier projects keep the terms version they accepted.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between the legal customer named in your order or written scope (“you”) and Sam William Leverenz, a sole trader, ABN 19 624 756 890 (“supplier”, “we” or “us”), trading as Spice of Life Media. You accept this dated version when you accept your written scope and pay for your order. We keep the accepted version, scope, price and acceptance time with your project record. The person accepting confirms they are authorised to do so for that legal customer.

2. Websites and what each includes

Your written scope lists your package, any extras you chose and your monthly plan, with their prices. It is the complete list of what you are buying. Every website includes phone-friendly design, draft wording written from the facts you provide, one enquiry form with spam protection, a tap-to-call button, basic search setup (page titles, descriptions, sitemap and Google Search Console when you give us access), connection of a domain you already own, a privacy notice reflecting the site and launch checks. The packages are:

  • One-page website, A$599: one page of up to six sections, up to 600 words, up to six supplied or licensed images, and one consolidated round of changes of up to 30 minutes;
  • Business website, A$879: up to five pages in one agreed design direction, up to 1,500 words in total, up to 15 supplied or licensed images, and two consolidated rounds of changes of up to 30 minutes each; and
  • Online shop, from A$2,990: priced in a written scope after we have assessed your products, payment provider, shipping and any imports or integrations. No payment is taken for a shop until that scope is accepted.

Limits are maximums. Unused allowances do not carry over and cannot be swapped for other work. Optional extras, such as mailbox setup, booking setup, a simple logo or Google Business Profile setup, are included only if they appear on your written scope at the price shown. Anything else, including migrations of old email, complex integrations or a new design direction, is quoted in writing before it starts, and nothing extra is started or charged without your written approval.

3. Your free first direction

Before you order, you can see a starting design direction for your website. It shows a possible look and structure. It is not a finished or deployable website, it has not been checked by Sam, and it may not be copied or launched. Seeing it creates no obligation to buy.

Sam checks your details before confirming your written scope. If your business or request does not fit a standard package, we will tell you and either quote it separately or decline the work. We do not take payment for work outside the standard packages until it has been scoped.

4. Payment

You pay the one-off amount on your written scope when you accept it, through a secure Stripe payment page. Work starts once the payment is confirmed. A payment counts as received only when our payment provider confirms it, not when a checkout page is opened. Monthly plans are not charged until your site goes live.

New domain registration and renewal, mailbox licences and booking or other provider subscriptions are bought in your own accounts and paid directly to the provider at their own price. We show these costs before you confirm and do not add a margin to them.

5. Timing

Standard websites are planned for 3–5 business days once we have your payment, your required content and images, and any access we need. We confirm the delivery window in your written scope. Extras that depend on other providers, such as mailbox setup, domain changes or Google verification, can take longer, and those providers control their own timing.

If something we need is missing, the delivery window starts when it arrives. If we will miss the confirmed window for a reason within our control, we will tell you and deliver as soon as we reasonably can. Please send content within 14 days of payment and each round of feedback within 14 days of our request; otherwise we may pause the project and resume it around our existing work. A paused project keeps everything you have paid for.

6. Changes and approval before launch

You review the completed site on a private address before launch. The named approver sends each included round as one consolidated list of changes within the package scope. A question does not use a round. Changes beyond the included time or rounds are A$140 per hour, quoted before they start, or A$99 for an extra round agreed in writing.

We publish only after you explicitly approve the finished site. Silence or a timeout is not approval. Fixing a mistake in work we were paid to do is always free and does not use a round.

7. Monthly plans, cancellation and handover

A monthly plan starts on the day your site goes live and is billed monthly in advance. The plans are:

  • Hosting, A$39/month: hosting, security certificate, backups, monitoring, ordinary maintenance and help with faults. It does not include content changes or redesigns;
  • Small updates, A$79/month: everything in Hosting, plus one combined update request of up to 20 minutes each month for text and image changes within existing layouts; and
  • Regular updates, A$149/month: everything in Hosting, plus up to 60 minutes of updates across up to two combined requests each month, within existing layouts.

Unused update time does not roll over. Extra work is A$140 per hour with a 30-minute minimum, quoted before it starts. Support is provided on business days by email; it is not a 24/7 service or a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. You may change plans from your next billing month.

You can cancel at any time before your next renewal by email to info@spiceoflifemedia.com.au. There is no notice fee. Your site stays online until the end of the period you have paid for, and we keep a recoverable backup for 30 days after it closes. Cancelling hosting does not cancel your domain or email, which stay in your own accounts.

When you leave, we hand over the words, images and other content you supplied, and help you point your domain elsewhere. Our shared editing and billing platform, its code and our internal tools are not transferred. A move of the website itself to another host is optional migration work, quoted before it starts.

If a monthly payment fails, Sam will contact you and give you a reasonable opportunity to fix it. If it remains unpaid for 14 days after that contact, we may suspend the website until it is resolved. We will give at least 30 days’ written notice of any price increase, and you may cancel before it applies.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • provide accurate business, legal and contact information;
  • provide the content, images and access we need for your package;
  • only supply words, images, logos, fonts and other material you are allowed to use;
  • review factual, pricing, professional and regulatory claims before launch;
  • use one named approver for decisions and consolidated feedback;
  • keep any login and private project link secure, and tell us promptly if you think either has been exposed; and
  • supply and check any legally required wording, such as privacy or shop terms, for your own business.

We may refuse unlawful, misleading, infringing or unsafe content. If you knowingly supply material you are not authorised to use and this directly causes SOL a reasonable, documented cost, you must reimburse that cost only to the extent your breach caused it.

9. Our responsibilities

We will provide the service with due care and skill, keep your project information reasonably secure, communicate material delays or problems honestly, and get your written agreement before charging for out-of-scope work. We will not claim that a payment, email, launch or submission succeeded unless our system has confirmed it. If we make a mistake in work we were paid to do, we will correct it at no charge.

10. Ownership and portfolio use

Your supplied material, your domain and your accounts remain yours. Once your order is paid in full, you may use the website design and wording we create for your business, and reuse the words and images anywhere. Our platform, reusable code, libraries and methods remain ours. Third-party software, fonts, images and services stay subject to their own licences. We will only show your website as an example of our work with your written permission.

11. Third parties and results

Domain registrars, payment providers, email, booking and other providers operate under their own terms and may change or have outages outside our control. Google decides whether and when a Business Profile is approved or a page is indexed. Search rankings, traffic, enquiries and sales depend on factors outside our control and are not guaranteed.

12. Privacy and payment data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Stripe processes card details on its own payment page; we do not receive or store your full card number. Each party will use the other’s confidential project information only for the project, unless disclosure is required by law or authorised in writing.

13. Refunds and your rights

If you change your mind before we start work on your paid order, we refund the full amount. After work starts, we refund any amount for work not yet done, based on the stages in your written scope. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including remedies for services that are not provided with due care and skill.

Where the law permits, our total liability for a project is limited to the amount you paid for that project’s build plus three months of monthly plan fees, and neither party is responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. This does not limit any right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Questions and disputes

Contact Sam first at info@spiceoflifemedia.com.au. We will try to resolve a concern promptly and in good faith. If it is not resolved, either party may suggest mediation before court proceedings. These terms are governed by South Australian law, without limiting any right to contact a regulator, consumer-protection body, tribunal or court.

15. The accepted version controls

We may publish a newer version for future orders, but we will not replace the terms you accepted for an existing project without your written agreement. If one part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue as far as the law permits.
